I just subtly (as a load of bricks) asked one of my profs how I did on my paper- in honour of having my first real meeting with my advisor on the 11th. She said "Not to worry." That sounds OK, huh?
However, I just bit into my Rosh HaShana apple (sans honey as I am in my very non-sticky-hands-friendly office), and it was the most sour and deplorable apple I have ever wrapped my mouth around. Bad omen for the new year, methinks.
Great. The evil eye all year or warm-cuddlies about possibility of good mark. Which do I choose to believe??

Ummm. Yeah. Good try.
I'm screwed.
nah. not screwed. "not to worry" means don't worry, be happy... or something cheesy like that. it'll be fine.
Thanks. We students must stick together. Hope all is well by you.
