New system of detailed readings by Islam and Modernity class prof is killing me. It’s been two hours, and I am still not done the first article! I don’t know if I’m really as stupid or slow as it makes me feel, but I may be close.
Took two hours off to watch Blazing Saddles tonight, and I may be paying for that two hours for the rest of my life. I’m not sure it was worth it…
So, that’s how they’ll find me in sixty years. Dead and rotted to a skeleton, perched at my desk, surrounded by the Orientalism debate and books by Mahmood Mamdani and Bernard Lewis. Still with only half of it done.
I’m not sure if that is worth it, either.
