Less than a week until that conference, and everything is so chaotic and screaming right now I can’t get a thing done. Personal life is a shambles. Have to pause tomorrow for an “Everything you need to know about grad school” PR stunt. Then it is back to work, I hope… Still might not be enough time to pull anything out of my arse worthy of presenting. But I can’t cancel, as I need this on my resume for the SSHRC people, or my grant proposal is dead in the water… and, man, am I hurting for that grant.
It’s one of those days that just grabbing your back-pack and snagging a one-way bus back to Nova Scotia seems like the only option, you know?
So what keeps me here? Masochism? Possibly.
