Preparing my first chapter for the end of the month. It's horrifying, putting your own ideas on paper for the scrutiny of a committee (as opposed to just cranking out a term paper for a grade). The dissertation is, in essence, your Life's Work up this point. It's too much like a manifesto for me - once it's there and published, you can't ever do a thing about it.
And if you screw it up, they'll never let you live it down.
But, no pressure.

I believe in you.
totally feeling you there, as i am in the process of writing the first two chapters and finding the actual writing process difficult. i have tons of ideas and am making notes like crazy. if i could make this a talk, i'd be fine. for some reason, i can't find the motivation to actually write coherent thoughts.
