Met with a prospective advisor today, who has agreed to be on my committee. We have good chemistry - he is a tough guy on theory, but we think a like on a few things, and he is a good person with a fine sense of humour. He also seems pretty impressed with my buzz and my ideas, and legitimately interested in my work, too. I see good things coming from this new alliance.
Today, I finally feel like a student again. Now to completely re-write my dissertation proposal by June 8th... eeep.
